Four major factors leading to the blackening of LED light source

1. Sulfuration, chlorination and bromination
The silver plating layer on the LED bracket will produce silver sulfide when touching sulfur gas, while the chlorine and bromine gas containing acid nitrogen will produce light-sensitive silver halide, which will lead to the blackening failure of the light source. Light source sulfur/chlorine/bromide may occur in every link of production, storage, aging and application of LED light source and lamps. After the light source blackening is diagnosed as sulfur/chlorine/bromide, customers should select detailed sulfur removal plans according to the stages of sulfur/chlorine/bromide attack. At present, the sulfur/chlorine/bromine detection projects launched by Xinqin Lighting include: lamp sulfur/chlorine/bromine (including built-in power supply), lamp sulfur/chlorine/bromine (except external power supply), power supply sulfur/chlorine/bromine, excipient sulfur/chlorine/bromine, package workshop sulfur/chlorine/bromine, lighting workshop sulfur/chlorine/bromine, reflow welding workshop sulfur/chlorine/bromine. Because sulphur/chlorine/bromine gas will penetrate into the light source through the gap of silica gel or bracket, Xinqin Lighting also launched the air tightness inspection plan to further assist customers to improve the requirements of light source.
2. oxidation
Silver reacts easily with oxygen in high temperature and humidity to produce black silver oxide. Xinqin Lighting, after confirming that the reason for the blackening of light source is the oxidation of silver plating layer, will advocate that customers further check the air tightness of light source and lamps to eliminate the way of wet gas infiltration.
3. carbonization
From experience, the shortcomings of six raw materials (chips, brackets, crystal-fixing glue, bonding lines, phosphors, packaging glue) and three packaging processes (crystal-fixing, wire-beating and glue-filling) of LED lamp bar light source are likely to lead to extremely high temperature of the light source, forming part or all of the light source blackening and light source carbonization. The irrational heat dissipation planning, low thermal conductivity of heat dissipation data, unreasonable power supply planning and too many defects of reflow soldering of LED lamps will also cause light source carbonization. 4. Chemical incompatibility
